9 kids-not for me!

ALMOST THIS TIRED, BUT NOT QUITE!

Today turned out to be more busy that I had initially planned. I was in charge of our ward Christmas social for tonight and a bit stressed about the last few items to organize. Anyway, at 9 am Ryan called to ask if I would mind helping a friend from our ward who just had a baby two days ago. I had offered to help her already so I couldn't say no (but it really didn't cross my mind to say no). So, her husband brought the two youngest boys Carter 2 and Kaden 3 soon after Ry's call. For some crazy reason I felt like cleaning my house from top to bottom and finished just before all the kids came home from school! Today was half day at school so at 12:30 the older children walked to the house; Kaela 10, Julia 9, and Taylor 6. The plan was for their Dad to pick them up "later". To try to keep this short I will list the rest of the days events. 1. Lunch with 9 starving children 2. Raced Brayden to piano lessons while Kaela watched most of the kiddos3. put Carter, Brooklyn, and Colby down for naps 4. Finished plans for ward social 5. Packed up half the kids to drive to the church and dropped them off with the Bishop's wife 6. Picked up other half and hurried to set up the kids tables for the pary 7. Raced around the party counting nine heads, making sure they all ate, chasing kids to the potty, introduced the program, led the carol singing, and basically took charge of the meeting when Bishop left to go Christmas shopping! 8. Decided I was of less help with 9 kids running like idiots around the church and talked a friend into driving half of them home (actually it took three cars because no one else had enough seats for the extra five kids). Sooo

I got home in time to get the message from their Dad (at 7pm) that he was just leaving work-which is half hour away-to pick up his wife from the hospital and get her home. Now, just so you know I was quite enjoying having two older girls to clean up after all the kids and bath the young ones. 9. Their Grandma came by at 8:15 to take a few of them home to pack for a sleep over at her house. 10. Hurried and got Tyson to bed and almost got Brooklyn and Colby to bed as 11. Their Dad showed up at 9pm. He was very grateful and I was too. Not because they were bad kids, I am just very exhausted!

But for the record 9 kids is not for me!
