We removed the outlet covers to paint and Brooklyn thought she would see what a penny would do to an electrical circuit. She shocked herself (black fingers), blew the circuit breaker, and luckily survived to tell the story! The penny was welded to the outlet screws and we had to use rubber handled pliers to remove it. Actually, we probably didn't have to use rubber handled pliers because the circuit was blown, but we were still nervous. Brooky was pretty quiet for a while after the incident...Needless to say we are ready to be finished with all this home renovating excitement (remember the painting of the carpet)...

Brooklyn's Science Experiment
