April 2008 General Conference

I have been listening to the General Conference talks from this month again.
I really enjoyed several talks, but Elder Ballard's talk had the most effect on me.
I have been frustrated with motherhood at times, and this talk just gave me comfort
and a greater desire to just keep doing my best. It was neat that he spoke directly
to the children as well. After he finished Brayden came up and quietly gave me a
hug-he was listening! I just love my children and want them to know I love them
even though I am not perfect!
Anyway, just wanted to share with those of you who are not so familiar with our

Also, I really felt the confirmation by the Holy Ghost that the Lord has prepared
President Thomas S. Monson to be our Prophet. I was struggling with the change
since President Hinckley passed away. I guess because he has been around during
the most impressionable times of my life through highschool, marriage, and childbearing.
But being able to sustain President Monson and see how humble he is was important to
me. He is our Prophet today and the Lord loves us!
