Change

April brought a lot of change for our family and friends in the area.

The boundaries for the wards in our Stake changed and that put us in
another ward in another town.  We moved from Taber 2nd Ward to
Barnwell 1st Ward.  Ryan was released as 2nd Counselor in the 2nd
Ward Bishopric and was called as 2nd Counselor in the Barrnwell 1st
Ward.  I was released as a member of the Primary Presidency and
called as the Laurel Advisor in our new ward.  The kids obviously are in
a new primary and I have no idea what it is like for them now that I don't
attend every Sunday with them.  I miss being with them, but I know that
this experience is meant to humble us and in time will strengthen us all!

I have been working on my first Laurel lesson.  I have to admit that I am very
nervous to be in Young Women's because I haven't been in there since I was
18!  There are 9 beautiful girls in our group and I just pray that I can be their
friend!  What a big change for them to be split from good friends and then to have
complete strangers as their leaders!  I think time and camp in June will bring the
needed connection between us all. And now to review the Young Women Theme...

WE ARE DAUGHTERS of our Heavenly Father,
who loves us, and we love Him.
We will “STAND as witnesses of God
at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9
as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are:
faith*divine nature
individual worth*knowledge
choice and accountability
good works* integrity
and virtue
We believe as we come to accept and act
upon these values, WE WILL BE PREPARED
strengthen home and family, make and
keep sacred covenants,receive the ordinances
of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.

Yeah for you, Tonya! You will be excellent and they will love you, as much or more than the primary kids did. I told Stan and he said "awesome, they'll love her, she's so fun." Happy Mother's Day today
