Ladiesfest 2008

So I don't have pictures yet, but I survived another year of running the Ladiesfest 8k in Lethbridge with my mother-in-law, sister-in-laws, and one neice. We all wore our bright orange shirts that symbolize our "team" togetherness (is that a word?). We received a box of yummy chocolates for having the most people on our team. I was pleased to improve my time by about 2 minutes from last year. I am looking forward to a 5k in August. Who knew I would enjoy long distance running so much? The first time I attempted a run was with my friend Molly in Indiana and I almost died after 2 blocks! Thanks for the introduction, Molly! It has been great to have my 5:30 in the morning walks and runs!

That is awesome! That is really great the entire family is doing it with you! I still haven't embraced the long distance running. I guess I can't get over that I was a sprinter....I don't do long distance :)Ya, that's it...it has doing to do with me being lazy...ya nothing at all. Good job, I'm excited to see pictures.

Congrats Tonya! Running is so addictive! :) I just finished a 25 hour through-the-night 180 mile relay race with the girls I run with from my neighborhood. It was KILLER!! You can set your sights on that one next! :) Check out www.ragnarrelay.com for more info. Happy running!
