Happy Birthday to You Two!

It's OUR Birthday!

Colby was very excited to open his Diego truck and animals. I wish I would have had a video tape of his sounds effects!

Brooklyn's first Princess set with too many tiny shoes!! We've already lost one glass slipper...

Brooklyn has been reminding me she needed a new crown. This one is a little big so she took it off and put it back in the bag for "awhile"!

My attempts at creating a Dora and Diego adventure cake...they liked it.

Blowing out their candles. They were excited to get their little cars off the cake finally. I made them wait all day to have cake with their Grandparents and a few friends.

"I've been waiting for this truck"!
Fun things about their day...

My parents and Gina called to wish Brooklyn and Colby happy birthday today. When Colby picked up the phone call from Gina he immediately started singing, "Happy Birthday to Colby, Happy Birthday to Colby"!
Brooklyn jabbered with my Dad for about three minutes and when I talked to him he had no idea what she was saying! The girl talks so much it is overwhelming at times. She was slow getting started, but has really picked up on things!

We walked the six or so blocks to church today and Brooklyn sang along the way, "It's Brooky and Colby's birthday. It's a happy day".

There were two other children in our Primary that had birthday's today. Kinda fun!
Brook has decided she is old enough to start school and to drive.
A new girl in the ward was listening to Brook tell her about her present from the nursery leaders. Then Colby showed her his present she said, "Oh, are you two twins"? And both of them said, "yes and it's his/her birthday too". Now that isn't necessarily profound, but I have never heard them acknowledge that they knew the term twin and how it applied to them...anyway...thought it was interesting!
Brook was so excited about her cake that she refused to eat her supper. I told her she had to eat it or there would be no cake. She took one bite of her food and made herself throw up! AAHH! She is a stinker! We settled on a piece of garlic bread and chocolate milk...who won?

After a long day at church they were already wanting to sleep, but I didn't want them to nap before the party. I probably should have put them down because Brooklyn was over tired by the time everyone left! What's a party without a few tears though?
A few pictures to see how they have grown!

Grandma Jepsen with Brook on the left and Colby on the right.

I had to add this picuture of Tyson because I couldn't believe how tiny he was when they were born! How did we survive???
Cleaning off the cake from their first birthday party at Uncle Pace's house in Logan.
Brook sitting on one of Uncle Mel's tractors.
Colby has always been so smiley!
So eating has improved over the past couple years!

2nd Birthday celebration at Aunt Hilary's house in Logan.

Eating yogurt tubes-they asked for them to be squeezed into a bowl to eat them easier! Nice kitchen floor pre-renovations!
This wagon was their main mode of transportation for a long time! Now that they can ride their own bikes we rarely use this. Wow! They have really grown in a year. I am happy to say that I don't wish to go back to any other time with these kids. We have had a ton of fun together, but a lot of it was survival. It's nice to go over the pictures and realize that we have made some great memories and that we are stronger because of the trials we have gone through. It definatley could have been worse, but it wasn't and I am thankful for that! I love my now three-year-old twins!
Last picture-I promise! Right after I took a way their soothers and cribs I would often find Brooklyn had climbed into Colby's bed at night!
