This is the first wall going up on the west side of our house.
Here is the view looking into the east side of the house. You can't tell yet, but you enter the garage this direction. The guys are working on the kitchen/dining room area.
Here is the back view of the house. The top is the main floor and we have a walk-out basement.
So way back in the beginning of our house planning we had an indoor basketball court. But when they dug the hole we were pretty worried it would look way too big and also felt that the Lord didn't want us to go forward with that plan. So we changed and put the garage on the east side of the house. Then we had to deal with an 11 feet deep hole. We were told we would have to pack it with rocks so that the garage floor could be on a solid foundation. Ryan was sick thinking of loosing all that space so we talked to some people in Calgary who build suspended floors. Since we had a huge 11 foot wall we had to have some cement cutters come in and take care of that.
Before...
And after!
Now we have a two story garage...why...just because things change sometimes and we just make the best of it!
Remember Ryan's high hoe??? Well, we have a story for you, but I don't have the energy to write about tonight. We have been busy dealing with this little issue, kids starting school, and on top of that Ryan was called as 2nd Counselor in our new ward bishopric! SO lots going on, but many blessings with it. Everything will be great, tis life! Big Smiles!

Are you building a home or a junior college? I can't wait to see the finished product. It looks like a beautiful mansion in the making.
We need to catch up soon!
