Christmas

Ryan has this week off before Christmas...well sort of. He has to do scopes Monday and Thursday morning. Seriously though, just having this week together is all I want for Christmas.

I have other posts I want to add, but our home computer is down and I can't get pictures downloaded. Writing a post about Colby gashing his head open is not justified with words. You MUST see the pictures! So that will have to be yet another "someday" post if I can get around to it.

Just FYI I am almost finished with my BGS degree. I am planning on graduating April of 2012! Yeah!

My favorite quote from Brooklyn a few weeks ago. As Ryan was going out to feed cows with the boys Brooklyn started getting ready to go out. She looked at Ryan and put her hands on her hips then said, "Don't tell me that the barn is not place for a lady"! HA! She cracks me up! She is a cowgirl through and through!

Most disgusting thing last week was walking out to the garage to find four cow legs from the knee down and a tail! WHAT IN THE WORLD?! Ryan got a call real quick. To share a small portion of the story we had been out at the parents farm and a calf had broken its leg so Ryan had to put it down and then took care of it so we could take the meat to the butcher. Anyway, the kids wanted to keep a bone (why? I don't know...my kids have major collections issues). So Ryan brought THOSE home and just left them in my garage. I almost puked! I called him immediately and he just said it wasn't a big deal! That didn't go over very, but luckily he took them out when he came home from work! Bluh! (Do you want pictures?)

Update on Blackey. She was missing her boys and is now happily back out in the barn and healing perfectly. I saw stripes torturing a mouse on the back yard for about 30 minutes last week. Good boy! You have officially earned your stay around here!

Ryan had a good sized work party at our home last Friday. He had the girls that help him in the operating room with scopes and many people from scheduling and even board members come! So scary and way out of my comfort zone. Anyway, we had about 23 people come for dinner and a slide show presentation. We just moved all the furniture out of the living room and set up the tables to eat there. Then my heroines Diane and Petra catered the event with yummy food and made the house look beautiful. I had Ryan's nurse, Stef, take pictures so I will post them "sometime".

I am finished Christmas shopping and found it quite enjoyable this year. Brayden is an official ELF and will be assisting us on Christmas Eve and he is very happy to be the eating cookies helper! I actually like the Christmas Eve shopping rush, but we won't be able to do that this year. We get to have a party out at the parents farm with most of the family, miss you Luke and Becky in China! Merry Christmas and love your emails! Time for fun and food...hmmm. I don't feel like eating right now.

Well, I am tired and it is boring to read a post with no pictures. Maybe I will get them posted...sometime. But very likely NOT. I am just being more honest with myself! Good night!
