Oh, the memories!

Last summer we decided to take the kids to Provo to see our first home.  This was a fourplex and we lived on the upper right one.  There was a washer and dryer that didn't work most of the time down on the right.  We had great neighbors and fun memories.  I worked just one block down at the bakery.

We decided to move during our summer there to save a little cash.  We were in the lower left apartment of this boys only complex.  I think we saved $75 a month!
Here is our dream "shack"!  We found this little beauty by accident and fell in love.  It was about $320 a month!  What a deal for a cute little place.  I think it was a shed before we moved in.
It did have a basement (with lots of spiders and dead bugs)... The bedroom was big enough to fit our queen bed in with no walking space around it.  It was worth the savings though!
We can honestly say that we were just as happy there as we are here!  Life is about being with the ones we love. (I'd live anywhere with my man...hey! I've backpacked in the primitive Fiji for three weeks with the guy!) Elder Eyring said something to the effect of  income four dollars and expeditures three equals happiness. Income four dollars and expeditures five equals sadness. We lived in some tiny, but happy places because we did what we could.  I love the lessons learned then and that we still have to apply now.

I absolutely expect my kids to live in some (clean) shacks when they go to college!
