Things that make me sigh...

...with pure joy.

Today Colby asked me, "Mom, what would you do if you had $100?"
Me (trying to be smart), "I would probably use it to take us out on a fun date."
Colby: "Oh, my teacher asked us that today and I said I would give it to the poor."

I walked past Brook and Colby's room tonight and noticed that all the covers were off
of Colby's bed. "Colby, why is your bed not made?" (it had been when he left for school today).
Getting no response, but still asking as I just continued doing my nightly round up of toys, clothes, books, etc. Then Tyson quietly showed up in my room, "Mom, I know why his bed is that way. I did that when I was hiding from Daddy when he came home from work".
Oh, I loved his sweet little face as he admitted it was him.

My sweet husband noticed I was a bit fatigued today and volunteered to make dinner! Love the man.

This marriage/family class has been awesome!  There is one lesson that gives suggestions on things spouses could do for each other to lighten their load and such.  Well, Ryan already does almost everything they suggested!  He always helps clean up dinner, read stories to kids at night, and plays with the kids when he comes home from work.  I am going to have to record what happens EVERY DAY when he gets home.  It is so cute!  As soon as the kids see his truck pulling into the yard they yell, "Daddy's home"! and they all hide. Ryan comes in the house hollering "WHERE IS MY FAAMILEEE"!  They adore their Dad and he adores them!
Just one quick picture of all of the kids hanging out with their hero!
