Time to catch up...

Wow! How can a couple of weeks bring so much to write about that I don't even want to start? How about a few brief notes and if you want more details please feel free to ask.

-watched my two sweet nieces and one nephew for a few days while my sister-in-law worked on moving into their new house. We had a great time playing in the sprinklers, going to the Taber parade and having pancake breakfast and hamburger lunch (the kids even had their pictures in the paper-I am sending you a copy Sh'Nell). I miss the kiddos.
-took all seven of those kids to Brayden and Tyson's dentist appointment and they all did great! Brayden had two teeth pulled that we didn't know had to be done.
-we started digging the hole for our house and about croaked when they dug 2 feet 2 inches TOO deep! That will be a little costly to fix...BUT it gets better. After seeing that huge hole we decided to make some more changes on the house plans and we got rid of a "room" we both desperately WANTED BUT the Lord had other plans. That's okay it will all work out.
-got a phone call from a desperate acquaintance saying their five kids were all being taken away by child protective services and they didn't want their 4 month old baby going "just anywhere". She has no thyroid so she has to take a pill every day and she was also only nursing. Mom wanted to be able to pump and bring the baby milk. Within an hour we had a baby. Social services said we would have her anywhere from four weeks to a year...
-sang at my friends wedding in front of a ton of people I don't know. I sang "The Prayer" which is usually a duet. But Jenny Francis (an amazing musician from our ward) made a new arrangement so my duet part was with our Bishop's wife, April Saunders, who plays the cello. It turned out lovely.
-Finally planted our garden! My tomato plants were so ready to get their roots in some deep soil. We had a couple days of good sunshine, but the forecast is for snow tomorrow! I will be very sad if my plants don't make it...they have been growing in my little green house since early March!
-took a trip to Chicago with just Ryan and I for three days. Great timing for a get-a-way. We had Chicago deep dish pizza, and ate at a great steak house. I slept a lot! The trip gave us time to think about the whole "foster" parenting thing. I have to admit that taking care of little Tzipora (pronounced Zipporah like Moses' wife) was easy. She was a great baby, but when I gave her back to social services before we left Tuesday I was sad. I knew that I would get too attached if we had her very long. After some discussion with our Bishop he advised us that due to the mental state of the father and him knowing where we lived it was not something he would encourage us to do. So thankful for answers like that! I feel so much peace.
-Finished another course and will take the final next Wednesday. I have my next course and have finished five lessons. I am more motivated to work on my class again now that I've had a break.
-Back in May we took the kids to Yellowstone for a couple days. It was when we picked up our fence in Billings. It was quite the trip and we even saw a bear and some wolves (not very close, but that is fine with me)!
-I am sure there is more, but my brain is on stand by!

All in all things have been great! I love live's lessons and hope to always be positive through them.

Wow, you guys have been busy! Was that your only trip out this way this summer? I vaguely remember an email from you talking about this summer, but I could have been dreaming it... Congratulations on starting your house! It sounds like Andy's dream (a bit of land, some fruit trees, etc... although we used to want animals until living at this horse stable--haha!) Hopefully we'll get to see you when we come out this summer!
